Detective Mazarelle from Paris is working on a case and the only clue is a tarot card: the Hanged Man. He works with his team to find the killer and along the way finds Claire, a woman who works at a tabloid. She flirts with him as much as she flirts with everyone else she wants to get information from. When Mazarelle has a meeting with her at her suite and finds her dead he also finds a book with a lot of information she has been collecting. Some of the higher ups do not want him on the job and suspend him using the excuse that he could be a suspect. A tarot Hanged Man card is also found on Claire's body but her husband seems the more likely suspect.
I thought this was a really good book and had a few twists and turns that kept you wanting to read more. The reason I took a star away was because of all the French words used throughout the book and I didn't feel like looking up their meanings.
