I enjoy reading mysteries and thrillers and this one sets up a murder mystery with political complications as well. I enjoy reading books set in Paris and other foreign cities--this is my new way to travel during the pandemic. Although this is a genre I like, I didn't enjoy the characters or writing style enough to want to read this book.
