So many people these days are curious about their ancestry and what role it might play in who they are as a person. This story explores just what could happen if you submit your DNA to one of those sites as a way of finding out who you are and the darker side of what could happen. Well written characters that jump off of the page combined with the smoothly written suspenseful plot makes for a paper cut or two from turning the pages so quick. I liked the complex relationships that show that nothing is ever as it seems and perception is everything in life and it would do to remember that or you may end up a very lonely person. I will definitely be looking to read any other books written by this author as well as any future books she writes. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book via BookishFirst.
