Unfortunately, this was my least favorite book of the author's to date. When it comes down to it, the entire plot is tired, predictable, and less a mystery/thriller and more a family drama. The Half Sister was lacking all the twists and turns of Sandie Jones' first two novels, and really didn't even feel like it was the same author writing this one as the previous two! If you are new to the genre and are looking for a light, fast read, maybe give this one a try for yourself, but if you're a seasoned mystery reader who is expecting tight pacing and flawed, yet relatable characters, maybe give one of her other books a try and skip this one. I can't imagine regular readers of thrillers will find this one "thrilling".
