I am a psychological thriller guru. [okay maybe not GURU, but I've read somewhere between a few and few HUNDRED...]
I wanted to love this, I really did. But it did not quite meet my initial expectations. I would call this more of a family domestic thriller/cliché' than anything. Decided to spring for the audiobook for this one, and most of the time audiobooks do keep me engaged - this one not so much.
The two main characters are sisters whom are somewhat opposites - one is super charming and successful and trying for a family and the other is already settled but feels less than accomplished with her marriage and kids. Once the plotline REALLY started to take off though... THAT was when things became somewhat nonsensical and confusing. Once I am confused to a certain extent with a book like this, my interest gets lost - that was the problem here for me. So while I DID enjoy this thriller, it lost me along the way and didn't quite "click" for me.
