I don't even really know why I read this book; I have a love/hate relationship with Sandie Jones. But read it I did, and enjoy it I really did not. If you read it on its own merit, and don't compare it to any other thriller you've read, it's not a bad book. But if you broaden the circle to include other thrillers, it pales in comparison.

The book follows Lauren and Kate, two sisters; their spouses, and their mother. Midway through Sunday dinner there's a knock on the door. Lauren's husband goes and answers it...and none of their lives will ever be the same again.

I liked Kate. I thought she was very tenacious and a good wife. I liked Lauren, although for the first half of the book she was kind of a doormat. And I liked Matt. Other than those three there's not a likeable thing in this book. Just my opinion. I hope you guys like this book better.
