The Half Sister by Sandie Jones is a well written page turner. I could not put this book down. Every time I got comfortable in the plot another twist, turn or bump in the road took place. The characters had just enough depth for you to be able to predict some actions, but still be surprised by others.

Jessica had a wonderful foster family growing up but she always wanted to know who her real family was. One day she gets a DNA match off her ancestry website and decides to meet her genetic family. The only problem is her dad stepped outside his marriage and had her. And now he is dead! Jess has two half so sisters, Lauren and Kate. Kate wants nothing to do with Jessica and doesn’t even believe her dad is Jessicas father. Lauren wants to get to know Jessica and believes they do share the same father. Kates and Lauren’s mother, Rose, doesn’t want her daughters to even associate with Jessica. But Jessica persist, showing up at a family dinner and then later on Lauren’s front porch. Eventually all three girls work together to solve the mystery of who Jessicas mom is and why their father never talked to them about their step sister.
