The first couple chapters of this book set up a family ready to explode: the sisters who don't get a long with each other and have a lot going on in their marriages, the mother coping with the loss of her husband, and the husbands who don't get along with each other. All of this makes for a fast paced story where the stakes are high and I hope to go along for the ride.
