I didn't know what to expect going into The Good Luck Girls, but I absolutely loved it. Charlotte Nicole Davis is a fantastic author, and this book is a great addition to the slowly growing canon of queer girls of color fighting back against bigotry and all the bullshit. I absolutely loved this, and I cannot wait for the sequel. I usually have issues with largish casts of characters but I had no such issue with this book. I loved every bit of it and I've pushed it towards all of my friends because I just want everyone to read it. So many people are sleeping on it, and I cannot describe just how hard they're missing out. It has some vibes similar to We Set the Dark on Fire and Girls of Paper and Fire, so I'd recommend it to people who also liked those.
