The Good Luck Girls was definitely not what I was expecting in a YA fantasy novel. Turning 16 in their world ushers in womanhood for those they deem lucky, although it is anything but. I like the strength of the young women that are introduced in this first impression, but I am not sure where the story is going. I am not sure what to think, so I would probably not recommend The Good Luck Girls until I have read the entire book.
