I can not tell you how horrified and disgusted I was in the beginning to learn what was happening, but then Clementine did what she had to do and I was so much more interested in the story. I found myself flying through the entire first look and now I am left wanting to know what happens next. Do the girls get away successfully? Is Violet really on their side? Where do the girls end up? So many questions that need answers!
Right away, I was pulled in by the cover of the book. I really like the simplicity and the elegance of the cover. The tattoo (though now that I know what it is, I am not sure how I feel about it) is really the biggest piece that drew me in as the glow possibly hints towards magic.
