That was an intense beginning, but I'm really excited to read more. I don't know what it is about this book, but it kind of reminds me of Girls of Paper and Fire (maybe in a possibly queer girls of color fighting the patriarchy way?) which makes me all sorts of excited to read it. I also absolutely love the cover.
