Hunger Games and Mortal Instruments....

The premise reminds me of the different stations of the Hunger Games and Divergent series, but the markings make me think of the Mortal Instruments. It seems as if the plot takes on a mind of it's own...a fairy tale, but not...something darker, twistier, and perhaps a tad more interesting.
