It doesn't sound like these "Good Luck" girls have much luck at all, or if they do it's definitely bad. Forced by poverty and hunger into the service of a Welcome House, Aster and Clementine worked from children to clean up after and serve customers of the house, but once they turn 16 they have to serve the customers another way. Aster wishes for anyway to stop it from happening to her little sister, but when Clem's "Lucky Night" comes, it goes much differently than expected and now the two sisters are on the run, but with every disadvantage dragging them down and the Raveners of the welcome house at their heels. I have a feeling they won't go down without a fight, and it's a fight I want to read about!
