This was a cute start to Eliza, and while I was reading this I thought it was going to be a light-hearted book. Imagine my surprise when Eliza's mother ends up dead in the first chapter. I was so captivated by their relationship that this came as a surprise. I think I'd need to read more to determine if I really like this or not.
