The Girls at 17 Swann Street knocked the wind out of me. Though a work of fiction I couldn't help but feel as if this was speaking some truth to an eye-opening situation. This book was definitely a compulsion for me because I just couldn't put it down once I started it. I was intrigued, horrified, and breathless by the third chapter and it just kept getting more crazy. There were times I had to put the book down just to take a breather and then there were other times I cried for the main character. Her journey through life and battling a disease so consuming really pulled at my heart.

The overall plot was perfectly executed and the storyline itself was written so beautifully with the overall topic being deeply disturbing. The characters were easy to connect with and I quite literally fell head over heels in love with everything this book had to offer.
