A nice fast read that really pulls you into the characters and their stories. 17 Swan Street is a home for girls with eating disorders. The characters are very well developed and their emotional journeys really pull you in. Dealing with eating disorders can be a very sensitive topic that you can't understand unless it has touch your life.
I felt like I was really pulled into their struggles and could better understand why they are so hard to fight back against. The story seemed to drag a little in the middle for me though and then felt rushed at the end. I wish that the same detail used to set up the characters had been used to hash out the ending. Yes, there was death but the characters that were still living were kind of dropped and forgotten about. I appreciate the publisher provided these ARC's to my book club in wxchange for our honest reviews. Definitely worth your time to read.
