The Girls at 17 Swann St was an emotional book, but I just didn't love this one. The girls at this center are all suffering from eating disorders, and I did find this to be highly educational about this community and to read into the mindset of one that suffers with this disease. However, while I'm not super familiar with this community, it did feel very fast paced and unrealistic in spots. I didn't feel as connected to the main character, her reasoning for suffering with the disease, or with how she worked to overcome it. It felt implausible, and I didn't love the writing. I would have liked to see a bit more in the recovery aspect and I just felt like this was lacking overall. Thanks for the opportunity tor review.
