When I heard this book was coming out, I knew I would want to read this very compelling story. It might be because I am a registered dietitian, and this story reminds me of all the patients that I have met with this disease. I sat across from these women, stone faced and serious, as I tried to convince them they have no option but to eat and to live. It might be because I am a woman who knows the struggles young girls face with body image. Or it could be because I have a little girl, and I am determined to make sure she grows up feeling strong and beautiful inside and out. I loved this book, and the story of these women. The author wrote a beautiful, accurate, and tragic story of the struggles women with eating disorders face. Despite the subject matter, I found this book a very quick read, probably because I could not put it down. Tell your book club friends, girlfriends, mom friends, and RD friends- this one is worth the read!
