“The Girls at 17 Swann Street” is a book right up my alley! Despite being a work of fiction, the way it’s written gives a very realistic vibe, which I really appreciate in novels dealing with mental health topics. The writing style is very unique and pretty, I enjoyed how it flowed together so fluidly and I love that it flashes back and forth between the last and current times.

Anna is a character that I found myself empathizing with and I got caught up in her story right away. Just from the first either chapters you can get a very good description of the kind of person she is and snippets of what lead to her eating disorder. I found myself rooting for her recovery already!

Overall, this book is very intriguing, I plan to get my hands on a copy as soon as I can. I can’t wait to learn more about Anna, her life, and I’m hoping for a look at the other patients who are at 17 Swann Street, as well.
