Serious Worthwhile Topic; Unsure of the Story

Anorexia is such a serious issue, and I doubt that many people realize how many women are restricting their food intake and exercising obsessively to be thin (while still feeling fat the whole time.) Having seen personal friends (all female except for one male) struggle with this,I was very much interested in reading the 8 preview chapters of this book. The eight chapters are very short which is fine, but I was unable to establish an emotional connection with the character of this book with the pages provided.
