As someone who has suffered with an eating disorder myself I am extremely grateful for this book. People still struggle understanding this devastating disease. It is a heartbreaking and vicious illness that not only kills the person afflicted but also wreaks havoc on the entire family for most parents feel helpless. It can start with a simple 'you're looking a bit puffy' and it ends in a fight for survival. Society needs to stop pressuring these girls and boys to be perfect and to learn to love themselves, just as they are. This book is a must read, that is for certain.
