This first look of this novel, The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden, sounds like a very interesting combination of fairy tale, fantasy, folklore and history. I’m very interested to read the first book in the series, The Bear and the Nightingale. The writing style is very unique, the characters seem to be well developed. Additionally, the artwork on the cover is beautiful and intriguing.
Although it might be a little hard to judge the first look portion of the novel because it is the second book in the Winternight Trilogy series, my interest is piqued and I definitely invested in reading these novels. The author seems to have created an engrossing environment inhabited by unique characters. I’m ready read!
