Just as incredible as the first book!

This was a great second book to The Bear and the Nightingale. I never knew how much I would love a Russian fairytale, but I totally do! Vasya is such an incredible character. Eager to not live like she is expected to, but instead forge her own path. Solovey is also great comic relief and a great companion for Vasya. Katherine Arden does a fantastic job of writing. Her books make it so easy to "fall" into. I'm very eager to read the third book. I must know what is in store for Vasya and Marya and to find out what happened to Morozko! The other thing I love about this series is that anyone can read it. It is perfect for YA, fiction, historical and fantasy readers. This one had some mild language.
