This was intriguing. I was hooked from the beginning scene with the girl and her horse. The writing is poetic, which I like. There is a sense of mystery around the storyline that makes me want to keep reading. If I saw this book in a bookstore, then I would most likely pick it up. Honestly, I would probably buy it based on the cover and the title alone. People tell you not to judge a book based on it's cover, but I can't help myself.
Anyways, there is a long scene where who I assume to be the main character is telling other women and children the story of a ghost. I hope that the ghost plays in later in the story, otherwise this story telling segment seems wasteful to me.
The story is one that I would read, however, and I would love to have the opportunity to do so. It seems just up my alley.
