It has been a while since I've read a book I couldn't put down. This book did that. I would come home from work an want to see what had happened to Vasya.
Vasya is a young girl who escapes her home looking for adventure. In the Russian winter she finds magical creatures willing to help her on her travels. In order to keep safe she has to dress as a boy. This causes her some trouble when she enters Moscow.
Her travels find her in some difficult situations but she perseveres with some help from her magical friends . She finds her long lost sister and brother but she only brings them trouble. Her magical horse Solovey saves her time and time again. This is a great book and easy to get through
