Great prose
The prose in this book is absolutely stunning. Characters were original and the pace galloped along! It was a highly entertaining first taste of what promises to be an exciting read.
What I loved most about this story was the poetic language in her descriptions. They were so detailed that I felt like I was right there. Phrases such as "the fire bled onto virgin snow" felt so visceral!
While we only get a snippet of what happens to the main character, I liked her immediately. She seemed determined and that made her interesting.
I haven't read many stories set in Moscow, but the author did a fantastic job bringing us into the world, and I loved the magical details.
What a fun read! I can't wait to read it when it comes out.
