I can say nothing but good things about this book. From the moment I opened the book, I was hooked. Usually I'm a strong believer in not judging books by their cover, but this book is an exception. The cover is beautiful and really interested me. It's one of the main reasons that I decided to sample it. The first page is also gorgeous and the fonts really set the scene for the rest of the book.
The plot is really interesting as well. I find that this plot is even more interesting than the first book in the series. (Yes, it's that good!) Vasya's coming of age struggles may not be super relatable to my life, but the story still hooked me. Vasya overcomes huge obstacles and makes choices that will determine her life's path all while trying to stay alive.
Overall, this book is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone, but especially people that like historical fiction and fantasy.
