While I have read only the first set of chapters, I am drawn in and captivated by the rich Russian backdrop of a story that only begs for further reading. I have not read books by this author before, and now find I must go find the first of this set for I am intrigued and the characters have a rich feel to them.
The Eastern European culture has the great capacity to be mystical for they draw upon the rich cultures of merging Western Europe, and the Eastern cultures from Persia, India, and the Far East. This bring any author who is writing a great deal of challenge to full pull the flavor in of the culture.
While I guess where this plot will lead due to knowledge of the Eastern legends and tales, I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book once it is fully released.
