This tale gripped me from the start with its beautiful imagery. Ms Arden shows a turn of phrase that in just a sentence or two builds a scene in your mind. Her characters come alive and you can almost feel the chill on your skin from the snow.
I look forward to reading more of this Russian tale and I'm definitely going to go back and read the first book. I also loved the cover, it has the dreamy feel of a quality oil painting.
