I didn't fall totally in love with the first book, but I was interested to explore some of the other characters more. I'm glad this opens with Olga and we get to see how she's doing! It seems to follow on pretty naturally from the first book, with the prologue tempting us with a hint of Vasilisa and what she's doing before moving back into the domestic sphere with Olga.
