It’s been a long time since I read The Bear and the Nightingale, but I still remember the story and everything I loved about it. This preview leaves a good impression, and I’m more excited than ever to read The Girl in the Tower. The writing is lyrical and atmospheric, and invokes a fairy tale-like feel to the story, which I’m still a fan of.
