The cover is what first caught my attention - it's both understated and beautiful. After reading the description it became clear that the cover is also an accurate depiction of the novel itself.
I really love the storytelling style to Girl in the Tower; it is both intriguing and comforting, in an odd sort of way. I feel like I could keep reading it for hours (and in fact would have if the sample was longer).
I'll be very curious to see how the character's and plot develop over time, and will be keeping my eye on Girl in the Tower for it's release.
