I have not read the first book in this series, but reading about this book makes me want to go back to it. Emily Calby is the lone survivor of a home invasion. Years after that incident she is safe and living with her guardian until she is arrested. Unfortunately, it seems she is wanted for murder in another state and the prosecutor for the case is determined to prove her guilt by any means necessary.
