The prologue got me into this book right off the bat - so haunting and terrifying..
Emily managed to escape an unthinkable fate at such a young age, but now she lives a complicated life in hiding - or on the run so to speak. The first look gives us a little bit of a look into the kinds of shenanigans and chaos Emily finds herself in on an almost regular basis - getting chased by the cops after her explanation of the situation that occurred at a gas station. She seems to have quite the troubled mind and memory as well. If that's only the first couple of chapters, this is guaranteed to be quite the ride!
