This is book #2 in the Emily Calby series, and I didn't care for the first book - "The Hiding Girl". For some reason, the idea of a young girl becoming a killer is a bit creepy - no matter what the situation.
In this installment, she's in jail for carrying an illegal weapon - which yes, I can agree with. She's wanted for murder as well.
This just doesn't work for me due to the subject material. It might work for others, but this I am going to steer clear of.
