I currently am rating this book unfortunately at a one, due to I had to DNF it about 50 pages in. I rarely do this with a book and was very much looking forward to this story. By the synopsis, I was looking forward to a modern day Hatfield & McCoy situation, with two feuding families. But from what I read, it was mostly filled with land development and investment jargon that I could not get past. I also didn't connect with any of the characters and wasn't finding myself actively wanting to know how it all ended. The story did not seem to be cohesive at all, and there were so many characters to keep track of I kept getting lost.
I am a mood reader though, so I am going to pick this book up again at a later date and see if I change my mind!
Thank you to Bookish First & Green Leaf Publishing for the ARC and the opportunity to review.
