"The Gilded Roses" was a book that I was interested in immediately, due to the appealing plot summary and the first impression.

I absolutely love a fantasy young adult that is based in folklore, myth, or legend. When I began this book, I fell in love with the characters and how they interacted with the plot.

I also enjoyed the author's writing style. She creates well-developed characters with interesting actions, motivations, and more. I also appreciate the writing style that the author uses: flowery and pretty, but eloquent and realistic. I felt the characters were relatable and appealing to read about.

Lastly, I found the Order and the magic system to be interesting. This didn't feel like any old fantasy.
