While reading the first impression I was easily pulled into the world of magic and beauty. The author describes things effortlessly and enchantes you. Reading the story is easy to follow and has unique creatures described. A nice change of paste to what I normally read.
I'm interested in reading more and learning how the story unfolds. The mysteries definitely intrigued me along with the characters. A band of misfits that wouldn't normally be together if it wasn't for Severin and their line of work. Each character is vital and plays an important role for their acquisitions.
I would say Severin and Laila interest me most and from the snippet I've gotten their back stories are going to be interesting.
I can see the plot already taking different turns and perhaps become a slow build, but definitely would read till the end - - who doesn't love a treasure adventure!
