I enjoyed the first half of this and how the plot was set up and the semi complexity of the world and characters. The world is really confusing at times, especially in the beginning. There is a lot of info thrown at you.
The characters themselves weren’t anything special in my opinion. There are a lot of them introduced at the same time, and again, a lot of info to remember for later in the book.
The pace of the story was alright. It was a bit fast in the beginning and then slowed in the middle but picked up again at the end. I thought the whole book was going to be nothing but action, but I’m glad the storyline got involved as it did.
I’d definitely read this book if you’re a fan of Six of Crows.
