I am so disappointed. This book was one of my most anticipated and unfortunately it just didn't work for me.
First it was way too detailed. I had this problem with this authors previous book, but thought it might have just been her debut. I was wrong. There was so much over detail throughout this story that I lost the magic I know was written in there. I found my thoughts wondering off and I had to reread several pages several times which was very frustrating.
The one thing I did like was the overall world. It was so intricate and fascinating and I can honestly say it was why I kept reading. I just wanted more and while most details were too much I did find the ones that centered on the world very intriguing.
I will not be continuing on with this series sadly. If there was a way to reread the story without so many details I would probably love it, but as is it's just not for me.
