So, here’s the thing: I’m torn. I really, really enjoyed this book, especially the banter. I thought the plot and the concept of the world was quite clever. I will definitely be picking up the next book because I neeeeed to know what’s going to happen.
But.
There’s always a but, isn’t there?
But I couldn’t help but notice how....similar the characters were to Six of Crows.
But....I kept putting it down because while it was good, it wasn’t “stop everything and don’t sleep until it’s done” good.
But.......I was lost. Continually. I couldn’t picture a lot of the plot, and that was a struggle for me.
I would love to give this a 5 star review. The banter alone was perfection. But in the end, it was just too similar to Six of Crows to ignore.
