This was definitely a cover love story for me. Such a pretty book that I couldn't help but want to pick it up and have it on my shelves.
The book offered a diverse set of characters in a fantasy 1800's Parisian world. So diverse it was very overwhelming at times and hard to follow. After reading the story I had to go get the audio book and listen to it again to collect more information on what I missed with my first read through.
I liked the story, I did. It was just a lot to consume and could have used with some paring down and maybe breaking into two books in order to develop the characters and the world without it being rushed and overwhelming.
That being said, I cannot wait to pick up the sequel.
