I'm really mad at this book, not because it was bad, but because the ending absolutely gutted me. I'm a binge reader so of course I thought it would be a smart idea to finish the second half in a single day. Now, all I want to do is cry.

The Gilded Wolves is brilliant - with not just a fantastic cast of characters - but with rich lore, science, math, and history. Combine these things together and you get an incredibly detailed world with each page making you crave more.

I don't like comping books to Six of Crows often, but this one does it. The cast of characters are vibrant. It's so wonderfully queer. You feel how each character holds a place in the group and without one, it all falls apart. I was blown away by the development for each of them and how Roshani brings the reader into part of the family.

Which is why the ending hurts so much and I'M SO MAD ABOUT IT.

I want to be more coherent in this review, but all I have to say is buy this book. It's brilliant and thank you so much to the publishers for sending me a copy.
