I was so excited to read this book, I read it the minute it came out, I just got behind on reviews and forgot:) This book was my favorite YA fantasy after Six of Crows. I am one of the few people who saw the resemblance to Six of Crows and loved it for some of those reasons. However, don't get me wrong I found the concept of this book to be original and well executed.
I absolutely loved our gang of characters that we follow, their story arcs were fabulous and the diversity of them was extremely appreciated. It was hard to put this down and I had a blast the whole time. I was drugged by the beauty of the places Roshani Chokshi takes us in the pages of this novel. The history elements were also a lovely touch. I highly recommend to any fan of fantasy.
