The Gilded Wolves is about a group and friends and treasure hunters in 1889 Paris who have found a family with each other. Their reckless leader Séverin gets an opportunity to get back what was once stolen from him and he jumps at the chance. He takes his friends along for the ride even though they all are not as eager as him. What follows is an adventure across Paris where they find a few friends ad lots of enemies along the way.
I was excited to read this book, but I didn't love it like I thought I would. I always enjoy books with a close group of friends so I did enjoy that aspect and Séverin was my favorite character hands down! While there was a lot of action in the book at times I felt like the story was dragging. Sometimes I also wished there were less heists and more interaction between some of the characters.
This was fairly enjoyable and I'm interested to see where the story goes next.
