I realllly struggled to get through this book. The concept of the book is great, and I love that the book has a diverse cast of characters. From the description and the beautiful cover, I really thought that I would immensely enjoy this book. However, the constantly switching perspectives between chapters, as well as the occasional flash backs made the book hard to follow for me. The world was not built up well enough for me to understand the context of the book at all. I didn’t really connect with any of the characters, so I didn’t really care about what happened to them. However, the book ended on an interesting, though slightly predictable, cliffhanger, so I might consider reading the next book.
