... but kept me with an attempted heist.

I'm always drawn to novels that are set in Paris, especially if it's during the 19th Century, so it is no surprise that I was drawn to this one. At first, it was because of the author, Roshani Chokshi, but then as I kept reading more of the excerpt, from that enticing prologue to the first chapter with an attempted heist to reclaim what was once Severin's, and beyond, it's become clear to me that this novel is going to be one wild ride.

I love the camaraderie between Severin and Enrique, the little quips they throw at each other. Then there's Laila, and I can't to learn more about her, as well as learn more about all the Houses and learn more about the secret of these Forged artifacts that the Order will do anything to protect. I have a feeling this will be my 5-star predicted read to end off the year.
