I was one of those rare few who was not overly impressed by Chokshi's "Star-Touched Queen" story. However, I am always willing to give second chances, and I was extremely pleased with what I found in this excerpt. The writing, in particular, was solid and entertaining. I'm also intrigued by the magical elements introduced. The cover, like her other books, is also very beautiful and eye-catching!
