The very first time I read the description of this book, I knew that it was one I needed to get my hands on. I'm a huge Francophile, so the setting being France with Paris in particular, immediately had me intrigued. Add in secrets, houses of power, and magic - and I was hooked. The cover is absolutely gorgeous and only adds to my desire to read this book. I've read nothing but great things about this author and her writing, although I haven't read anything myself. After reading the First Look though, I wholly believe that this will be a novel that will end up being a new favorite!
